Viola LaRene (Ullrick) Metz

Viola LaRene Metz, a former Office Manager and resident of Colorado for several years, was called to God on January 12, 2021, at the age of 87.

Viola is preceded in death by her father, Charles Ullrick, mother, Minnie Walker, and brother, William “Bub” Ullrick.  Viola is also survived by her sisters, Geordine Wetzbarger and Florine Cordero, and her children, Mark Wilson and Mindy Wilson. Also, by those who call her Grandma Great, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  And her best friend and animal companion, Gizmo.

Viola was a devout Christian, who loved God.  She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her church community.

While spending time with her family, she enthusiastically spoke of her travels. One of those adventures involved traveling the west coast in a long-haul trailer with her late husband, and the cruises she went on.  She also loved to speak about her career as an Office Manager. Mainly telling stories of how she liked to arrive early to prepare the office for the day, and how she loved to be dressed in beautiful outfits with her nails done in pretty, light pink and her hair done up.

A very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Avamere for the exceptional care provided to Viola during the last two years of her life.
