Vicenta Sanchez Murillo 

Vicenta Sanchez Murillo, born on April 5, 1941 in Durango, Mexico entered into eternal life on April 9, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones in her home, in Fort Lupton, CO.

Vicenta was a loving, caring, praying woman who was truly a woman after God’s own heart . Although, Vicenta experienced much heartache and pain in her life she never lost her faith and her loving ways towards anyone. She was a humble and simple woman who always welcomed everyone into her home and made them feel comfortable and loved . She was always very loving and kind to those she met. 

In the words of her children “Our mother was truly an example of what it was like to be a faithful follower of Jesus. She heavily believed in and relied on the power of prayer and stood by her unwavering faith in Jesus. This is something she always tried to teach us to do as well. To us she was the calm in our storm, an angel on earth. Our mother was humble and had a heart for helping others and did so with such amazing love and grace. Her home was always open and inviting to anyone that came by. It’s probably very rare the times someone would come visit and didn’t leave fed from our home. At the least un cafecito con pan, or even better un tamalito. We are grateful to have had her as our mama. She is very loved and will be dearly missed.” 

Vicenta is survived by her sons; Santos (Laura) Sanchez, Rodolfo Sanchez and Bernabé (Marines) Sánchez, her daughters; Isela (Carlos) Morales, Maria (Erik) Ruiz and Claudia (Vincent) Ornelas . Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Valentin Sanchez, her sons; Roberto Romero, Gaspar Romero, Baltazar Romero, Roberto Sanchez. Her parents Bernabé Murillo and Felipa Enriquez and a sister and brother; Esther and Jesus Murillo.

Services for Vicenta will be as follows:

Viewing Monday April 22nd @ 5pm Tabor Funeral Home in Brighton, CO

Church service Tuesday April 23rd @ 10am The Healing Place, 3599 E Bridge St, Brighton, CO 80601 

Final resting place will be at Hillside cemetery Fort Lupton, CO
