Verhn D. Heintz was born on September 17th, 1932 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to David and Leah (Becker) Heintz.
He attended school in Bayard, Nebraska along with helping his dad on the farm. Verhn served in the Army during the Korean War. When he returned he continued farming, and eventually went to Colorado. While in Colorado he was in construction with his brothers, and driving an end dump.
Verhn married Marlene ( Bauer ) on May 8th, 1955 in Bridgeport, Nebraska. They first lived in Nebraska before moving to Aurora, Colorado then moving to their forever home in Henderson, Colorado where they raised their 3 children.
Verhn loved to ride horses which led him to play Cowboy Polo for several years. He then changed from Cowboy Polo to Cutting where he won several awards and trophies. He truly loved watching his grandkids and great grandkids play sports, and all their other endeavors.
Verhn has 3 children Verlene ( Doug ) Montgomery, Mark ( Cynde ) Heintz, and Becky Brown. Along with his children Verhn has 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Verhn is survived by a brother Wayne D. Heintz.
Verhn is proceeded in death by his loving wife Marlene Heintz, parents Dave and Leah Heintz, two brothers, his sister, a grandson, and great grandson.
