Myron Arthur Nyquist

Myron “Papa” Nyquist

Myron was born on October 14th, 1939, in Aitkin, Minnesota to Arthur W. Nyquist and Mildred E. Odell and passed away on June 26th, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary and stepson, Jay Walters. 

Known as Papa to his family and Swede to his many friends, he was truly a Renaissance man, spanning the past, present and future.

He could make his own cheese and artisan bread, build a house, fix a car and was on the leading edge of technology before it was mainstream back in the 70’s.

His passion to learn, teach and support others are hallmarks to the legacy he gifted to those around him.  His ingenuity was unsurpassed as evidenced by his many creative prototypes and gadgets for use in the home and workshop. 

Myron is survived by his wife, Ann (Annie), son, Chris Nyquist of Minnesota, son, Mark Nyquist of California, stepdaughter, Becky Haehnel of Minnesota, and stepson Jeffrey Walters of Iowa and grandson Kenny of Minnesota and granddaughter, Nora of California.
