Levi "Wes" Birdtail

Levi "Wes" Wesley Birdtail, was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Martha Vialpando on June 17, 1958.  He Graduated from William J. Palmer High School in 1976. He proudly joined the Marines on 6/11/1976. He was Honorably discharged on 6/10/1980.

On August 26, 1985 Wes and Candi Birdtail became proud parents to a son, Joseph Wesley Birdtail.

In 1995 Wes and Joe moved to Brighton, Colorado. Wes had different jobs throughout Brighton, which included being a Bartender where he met most of his friends. He had various jobs after bartending, but has spent the last few years as a Custodian at Vikan Middle School here in Brighton.  He took pride in all his adventures at Vikan and loved what he did and the kids and co-workers he impacted each and every day. He continued to make many amazing friends wherever he went. 

Wes is survived by his son Joe (Christin) Birdtail, His only granddaughter Taiyah Birdtail, Joe's Mom Candi Bowen, His sisters Gloria, Susie and Melinda, and His Brother Eddie. He is preceded in death by his Mother Martha Lucero, Father Joe Lucero, brother Nickie and his  Daughter Michael (pronounced Michelle)
