Juan Jimenez Obituary

Juan Ernesto Jimenez

Juan was born October 8th,1951 in Miami Florida to Sisin Ramos and Juan Jimenez Sr.  He lived with his mother, grandmother, and brother, José Rafael Jimenez in Puerto Rico until he was seven years old. In 1959 his mother and stepfather, Dolores Montalvo Miranda, relocated to Miami. Juan spent the next 13 years in Miami where he met his first wife, Suzan D. Jimenez and had his first child, a son, Steven John Jimenez in 1972.

In 1975, Juan relocated with his family to Denver, Colorado. There, in 1979, they had their second child, a daughter, LaReina Suzanne Jimenez, a daddy’s girl. During his early years in Colorado, he worked odd jobs, and eventually got a job in a print shop making $2.00 per hour. He worked is way up to be a Master Pressman and served in that role for almost 40 years until he retired in 2018.

On November 29th, 1996 Juan married the love of his life, Peggy Ann Terrell. Together they built a happy life and grew their family. DeJan Jimenez was born on April 1st, 2000 and was officially adopted to the family by Juan and Peg on April 20th 2009.

In his spare time, Juan became a successful businessman who was involved in various ventures. In 1999, he and Peg bought a local liquor store, Turnpike Liquors which they successfully ran for many years. In addition to running a small business, he also earned his Real Estate license in 2013. He owned multiple properties and spent much of his time managing them in his later years.

Time with family was most important to Juan. He loved to watch fights with Steve, ride bikes with LaReina, fish with DeJan, and watch all of his grandchildren play sports. At home, his yard was his pride and joy and he always kept it immaculate. Home was his favorite place to spend time with his favorite person, Peggy. Together they navigated life's challenges and triumphs with love and laughter.

Juan is survived by his wife, Peggy Jimenez, his daughter LaReina, sons Steven (Karla) Caleb Toledo and DeJan Jimenez, along with eight grandchildren;  Kylie, Elijah, Alyssa, Colin, Eleazar and Aladiah and Elena as well as brothers; Jose and Luis, sisters; Margarita and Luisita.
