Joseph K.D. Wojcik, 48, of Commerce City, died at home on January 4, 2021 after a long struggle with complications from Type 1 Diabetes.

Born in South Korea, Joe was adopted at the age of three. He lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, Casa Grande, Arizona, and the Denver Metro area. After graduating from Arvada West High School in 1990, Joe attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. After proudly serving five years with the United States Navy, as a Navy Corpsman attached to a Marines FAST unit, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Computer Information Systems from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. His career was spent in the human capital management software industry.
Joe savored much during his lifetime. He loved the Colorado Mountains, camping, movies, animals and family. His memory will forever be carried in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at Fort Logan Cemetery for immediate family only. His ashes will be scattered in his beloved Colorado Mountains this coming summer.
