Harold Padilla Obituary

Harold W. Padilla was born on June 18, 1939 in San Rafael, New Mexico, to the union of Zacarias Padilla and Teresita Ortiz from San Rafael, New Mexico.

Harold was a loving brother to: Margaret Gonzales, Ernesto Padilla, Tony Donald Padilla, Orlando Padilla, Ruben Padilla, Viola Padilla, Pat Padilla. He was a wonderful father to the following: Rudy Padilla, Zacarias Padilla, Stefanie Padilla, Linda Padilla Smyth, Jeff Smyth Darlene Padilla and Carol Ann Padilla. Harold also had the privilege and joy to be a grandfather as well as a great grandfather to: Amanda Rees, Samantha Rees, Mary Rees, Brian Rees j. , Hunter Wilson Rees, Dante Clermonts, Gloria Padilla, Cassandra Solorio, Alize Casas, Cerenity Casas, Diane Solorio, Angelo Padilla, Josh Padilla, Nathaniel Padilla, Jeremiah Padilla, Natalia Smyth, Ariana Smyth, Amber Padilla, Lorenzo Padilla, Eric Padilla, Devin Hayden, Dylan Hayden, Kaitlyn Hayden.

Harold loved to be outdoors and Hiking. He would sit for hours everyday and enjoy his ranch, the sunrise and the sunset as well as the wildlife. He enjoyed working on his trucks and tractors. Harold was a huge fan of football and loved his Cowboys!! Jon Wayne was his idol… Harold graduated from Manuel High school in 1956 and then joined The Air Force on February 19, 1957. He retired from Metro Waste management in 2007. He sure did love driving his truck.

Harold passed peacefully at the age of 80 on Wednesday April 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Zacarias Padilla and Teresita Padilla, sister Margaret Gonzales, and brother’s, Ernesto Padilla, Tony Donald Padilla, Orlando Padilla as well as his loving daughter Stefanie Padilla

He is survived by his sister: Viola Padilla and Brothers Ruben Padilla and Pat Padilla. He leaves behind his children: Rudy Padilla, Zacarias Padilla, Linda Padilla, Darlene Padilla, Carol Ann Padilla and his loving grandchildren.

Services are currently pending at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
