Gabriel Rodriguez

Gabriel Rodriguez was born in Santo Domingo de San Pedro, Durango, Mexico. He was the second oldest of 10 siblings. He married his high school sweetheart, Maria Sara Rodriguez in June of 1967.

Gabriel traveled his way to Colorado in 1968 where he spent most of his life raising his 5 children in South West Denver. He started working as a farm-worker, a labor worker, eventually he became a diesel mechanic before starting his career in trucking. His first truck was purchased in 1988, which he used to help build the Denver International Airport. With his first truck he started to invest and build his pride in joy, Rodriguez Trucking. He moved to Henderson, Colorado in 2000 to expand his work and stayed there until his passing.

He was dedicated to his work as a master mechanic. If he wasn’t working on his trucks he was betting on dog races or gamboling in Black Hawk. He was able to survive 3 heart attacks, 5 stints in his heart, both knee replacements, hip replacement, and spine titanium surgery. Despite his extensive medical history he was able to make to his 77th birthday.

Because of Gabriel’s success and bravery to come to this country, he was able to help multiple families on his wife’s side and his own live a better life. Many people remember Gabriel as a giving, humorous, hard-working, and trustworthy character. He will always be remembered as the rock of the family always keeping his family together even when he couldn’t physically. He not only helped people he saved them.

Gabriel was survived by his wife Maria and his 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Although our hearts are left broken, he will always live through us and the memories we hold.
