Edwin Michael Rupp
Edwin was born September 2, 1960 in Kimball, NE to Francis Richard Rupp and Adilene Joy Bolen and was one of five children. Edwin married Carole Slusher on December 29, 1979.
Edwin spent the majority of his life in Colorado, growing up in Arvada and moving to Fort Lupton in 1997. He followed in his father’s footsteps and worked as a water well driller for many years until an auto accident at work left him unable to drill. Later Ed found joy and purpose in farming. He truly loved all the people he came to know through farming, and had many friends in the Keenesburg/Prospect Valley area. He also enjoyed tinkering outside on his property or in his shop on the never-ending list of projects
Ed was a family man through and through and if he loved you there was no way you didn't "know it". His daughters and grandchildren were the light of his life and he was so very proud of them. He was the go to guy if something needed fixed and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix and was one of the best welders around. He was the person many called on if they needed help and no matter the time of day, the weather or where you were at, he would always show up and lend a hand. Those that knew Ed also knew him as quite the jokester and just about everyone has a story or two to tell that will make you laugh. To know Ed was to laugh and have a good time.
Ed is survived by his wife Carole of Fort Lupton, daughters, Sandra Brogdon of Thornton, Natasha "Nikki" Blair (Justin) of Brighton, Grandson Matthew Brogdon (Leah) of Thornton, Granddaughters Emily and Rylee Blair of Brighton. Sisters Kathy (Chuck) Camp of Briggsdale, Annette (Tom) Settle of Jefferson, John Rupp of Douglas, WY. Ed had many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Raymond, his Sister in Law Lynn, as well as his niece Janice and nephews Jared and Anthony.
