Antonita Hernandez “Snickers” 62 of Brighton, Colorado, passed away on March 5th, 2023. Snickers was born in Greeley, Colorado on December 28, 1960 to Irene Hernandez and Tony Guzman. She was raised by a single mother along with seven other siblings. She lived in Wattenberg, Colorado, most of her childhood and teenaged years. In her early twenties she moved to Brighton, Colorado. Shortly after, she had two children.
She was adventurous in her younger years. She played softball, and track, winning many awards. She was a very hard worker, having been a bartender, daycare teacher, green house worker and a cook in a restaurant. Antonita had many hobbies, she loved to cook, clean, dance and listening to all types of music, especially Spanish music. One of the things that Antonita was known for , were her flour tortillas. Anyone that walked through her door had to taste them. She was a die- hard Broncos fan. She collected anything and everything Broncos.
Those that really knew Antonita knew the one thing that she loved more than anything was spending time with family and friends. She was the light and life of the party.
She is survived by children; Guadalupe (Daniel) Hernandez, Uriel Zavala, Alexis Ramirez, Andrew (Sabrina) Hernandez, grandchildren; Anthony, Gabriel, Alijah, Sonia, Yaseiry Ramirez, and Aiden Hernandez, her eldest grand-daughter Angelic (Darwin) Amaya, Noe Amaya, Alicia Amaya, her brother William Hernandez and sister Nancy Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, siblings Vicky Pino, Leroy, Hernandez, Diane Sauceda and Betsy Martinez
