Anthony "Eddie" Edward Vigil

Anthony Edward Vigil, better known as “Eddie” to family and friends, was born August 16, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to Mary Vigil.  Eddie went home to Heaven on May 5, 2020 after passing to COVID-19.

Eddie was born into life with Polio disease.  Despite having Polio, he never let it beat him or weaken him.  He showed physicians that he was going to walk somehow without DME crutch support equipment.  Eddie grew up in Brighton, Colorado and graduated from Brighton HS.

Eddie was a very happy person. Eddie was known to go to St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado by electric wheelchair that he would drive there and back.  He loved God Yahweh and knew his Son Lord Jesus Christ.  Eddie loved family and he loved his dogs.  Eddie had a big heart.  He was so liked, even the Brighton Police CSO officers took him under their wings and would stop to see him.

Eddie truly loved his mom, grandparents, and his uncles.  He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Vigil; grandparents, Carpio and Sequiero Vigil; uncles Salamon Vigil and Willie Vigil.  He is survived by his guardian cousin, David Maes and many other cousins.

Visitation honoring Eddie will be Thursday, May 21, 2020, beginning at 11 am-12 pm; with Private Family Services at 12 pm officiated by the family chaplain, David Maes, all at Tabor Funeral Home, 75 S. 13th Avenue, in Brighton, Colorado.  **Please if you are sick do not attend the visitation.  A mask is required at the funeral home for participants. Ceremonies will be live streamed via this obituary beginning at 11 am.
