Amanda was born on October 9, 1942, to John T. Dixon and Jane Field in Illinois. She had two sisters; Johanna and Marti and she graduated from Sterling High School in Sterling, Colorado in 1960.
On September 8, 1960 she married Kenneth Ray Losure and in March of 1961, they had daughter Suzanne and then Daughter Jane in August of 1962. The family moved to Borger, Texas in 1965. After a divorce in 1979, Amanda moved to Heflin, Louisiana to be near her parents and start anew. She was married in 1981 to Raymond Ray and they lived in Lake Bistenou, where they had huge vegetable and flower gardens and raised ducks.
Raymond passed in 2006 and Amanda moved to Colorado to be with her sisters and her daughters. She had five grandchildren; Sarah, Morgan, Ashley, Travis and Katie as well as eight great grandchildren; Maddox, Boston, Grayson, Parker, Emory, Kamryn, Molly and Jayce.
After a number of years being alone she and Bob Curtice began a wonderful companionship and shared a lot of recent memories.
Amanda was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Raymond, daughter Jane and sister Johanna.
