Stanley (Stan) Gilbert Oster

Stan Oster passed away peacefully at Longmont United Hospital, on October 29, 2019 at the age of 87.  He was born on October 31, 1931 to Adolph H. Oster & Martha (Bach) Oster in Gilcrest, Colorado.

Stan spent four years in the US Navy as part of the Eighty-Two NAS Fighter Squadron in Oceana, Virginia.  Stan was honorably discharged in October 1954.  He married the love of his life Carol (Schreibvogel) Oster on January 26, 1976 in Brighton Colorado.

Stan was self employed and spent much of his career in the traffic control business.  He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and was an exceptional cook.

Stan is survived by his wife Carol, his two children Jeff (Carrie) Oster, Amy (Jackson) Browning, four grandchildren Andy, Nick, Garrett and Jacob, and three great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by both parents, and his older brother Norman Oster.

Graveside services in honor of Stan will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11:00 am.
