Rudolph Kittler, age 94, passed away at his Brighton residence, surrounded by his loving family on November 6, 2019. He was born in Golden Valley, North Dakota to a Jacob and Juliana (Kraft) Kittler and was married to Mary Jane (Murfitt) Kittler.
Rudolph was a very hardworking man. He was a farmer, and a rancher, and spent the majority of his working years as a machinist at a steel company. After retirement, he still pursued the “never slowing down” mentality and continued to stay active with building and remodeling furniture and RVs. He could fix just about anything that needed fixing and truly enjoyed raising his three daughters throughout his life.
Rudolph thoroughly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like camping, fishing, and being around family and friends, but woodworking was his true calling. He loved to travel, and even visited 49 of the 50 states, covering them all except Hawaii. He was a loving, caring father, husband, grand and great grandparent whom will be sincerely missed by all of those whom had the opportunity of knowing him.
Rudolph is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Kittler, along with his three daughters; Margret Bailey, Julie (Robert) Younger, and Cheryl (Curt) Marcolina. Six Grandchildren; Sara, Megan, Shantel, Carley, Alex and Troy and 6 other great grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by both parents, Jacob and Juliana Kittler, and by his nine siblings; William, Ella, Hilda, Allma, Gotthilf, Ida, Adolph, Aiganas, and Paulina.
A memorial service will be held for Rudolph at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14th at 1:00 PM followed by his interment at 2:15PM at Elmwood Cemetery. Friends, family and all of those whose lives Rudolph touched are all invited to attend. Rudolph will never be forgotten, and will always be known as the man who could fix anything. He will be genuinely missed.
