Rebecca Michelle Cope

Rebecca Michelle Cope, 43, lit up the world with her smile before her passing on October 5, 2019. She was the daughter of Joseph (Joe Bob)

R. Colvin, Jr. and Jackie (Weimer) Colvin. Born on January 26, 1976 at Swedish Hospital in Englewood CO. Rebecca attended elementary school in Wiley, CO moving back to Aurora, CO in 1989, where she graduated from Eaglecrest High School in 1994. After graduation from high school she attended Metro State University receiving her Bachelors Degree in education. On July 30, 2005, Justin Cope and Rebecca were married in Rocky Ford, CO.

For the last 12 years, Rebecca worked as a special education teacher at Northglenn High School. Rebecca was a woman of many talents. She truly loved to surround herself with family and enjoyed being with people. Rebecca’s eagerness and longing for adventure will be truly missed by all of those whom had the opportunity of knowing her.

Rebecca is survived by her husband Justin Cope, sons Kaden and Karter Cope, mother Jackie Colvin and sister Jennifer (Ian) Ellefson. Rebecca was preceded in death by her father Joseph (Joe Bob) R. Colvin, Jr.
