John Martin "Marty" Carlson

John Martin Carlson, better known as “Marty”, age 44, passed away after a 15 month battle against brain cancer, on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 23, 1974, in Wheat Ridge, CO, to John Robert and Janet (Glidewell) Carlson. Marty graduated from Weld Central High School in 1992 and completed an additional two years of motorcycle school.

Marty greatly enjoyed working on fast cars, motorcycles and helping his mother on the family farm. Marty loved life was a loving father to Austin , devoted son and a friend to all who knew him.  Marty was known for his crooked smile, dry sense of humor and the best  hugs in the world.

He cherished his motorcycle trips. One of the most memorable trips was with his best friend Jeremy to Dragons Tail, TN.

John Martin “Marty” is survived by his mother; Janet Carlson (Hudson, CO), his son; Austin Storm Carlson (Hudson, CO) and a half brother John Joseph Carlson of Buena Vista, CO. He is preceded in death by his father John Robert Carlson, his brother; John Andrew Carlson, along with two half-brothers John Christian and John Robert Jr. Carlson.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Marty touched are all invited to Tabor-Rice Funeral Home from 10-11 AM, Friday, September 13, 2019 to help reminisce and celebrate his beautiful life through a memorial service. Marty made a wonderful impact on this world and in the hearts of many friends and family members, and will always be known as a caring, loving person. He will be missed by all of those whom loved him, may he rest in peace.
